I’m Elena Grebenyuk, psychotherapist, welcome to my page 🙂

I’ve been working as a psychotherapist since 2013. My formal background is in psychology — I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology at Moscow State University. I began my career in HR and gradually transitioned into psychotherapy as I pursued professional training in this field. I have a private practice and, from 2015 to 2019, also worked as a counselor at the Psychological Center of the Higher School of Economics (HSE). I work both individually and with couples.
My main professional orientation is the narrative approach. While living in Moscow, I had the privilege of co-organizing workshops with invited teachers such as Hugh Fox, Mark Hayward, Maggie Carey, Marcela Polanco, Jill Freedman, and Gene Combs. In 2018, my colleagues and I founded KRAI, where we run a one-year training program in the narrative approach (currently held online), a continuing practice group, and supervision sessions. I also teach my own course on body from the perspective of narrative approach and offer separate lectures and laboratories. In other words, I not only provide therapy but also teach.
In addition to psychotherapy, I have devoted time to studying contemporary dance, somatics, and dance movement therapy, participating in training programs and workshops with teachers such as A. Girshon, Linda Hartley (IBMT), Anna Halprin, Hilary Bryan, Nancy Stark Smith, and others. I have led groups on Authentic Movement and movement improvisation, and attention to the body and movement remains an important part of both my life and my work.
(As I reread this, I notice there are many names and titles — I don’t list them to impress or make my image more convincing, but rather so you can better understand my background and the influences that shaped my path.)
In 2022, I moved from Moscow to Lisbon, where I currently offer in-person sessions.
At the end of 2025 my book ‘Working with trauma in narrative approach’ was published (in russian language).
So, here is what’s available:
- You can book an online consultation (individual or couple)
- In Lisbon, you can schedule an in-person consultation or a movement therapy session
- I am also open to teaching narrative approach or leading movement classes for groups (both for therapeutic or artistic aims)
